If you know someone who has been seriously injured or killed because of the carelessness of another person, there are many fine law firms that can help. Which law firm should be hired?
I will describe the way that we handle serious personal injury cases and wrongful death cases so that people can decide if our method makes sense to them.
Rather than take every case that we are offered, we limit the number of cases that we accept. Why do we do this? We limit our cases because we want to have a meaningful, long-term relationship with each client. If we took every case that we were offered, we would not have time to get to know each client. Larger personal injury firms, for example, have so many cases that they do not have the time to get to know each client. We like helping people, and we like getting to know people. We limit the cases that we accept so that we get to know each client, and so each client gets to know us. If you want a relationship with your attorney, then contact our law firm. If you would rather not have that relationship with your attorney, then a larger law firm is a better choice for you.
A frequent question is: If you are a small firm, can you do a good job on my serious injury or death case? I believe that a small law firm can do a better job in a serious injury case or death case— provided that the small firm has a talented, experienced lawyer.
Although it may not seem like it, a small firm can do a better job than a large firm, in my opinion. Why do I say that? First of all, a small firm has the time to devote to each case. They do not have 100 cases going at one time and they can devote their time attention to each case. Secondly, if the trial lawyer has talent, he or she will spend the time necessary to prepare for trial because he or she does not have to prepare for a different trial in the next week. Lastly, because the attorney gets to know you, he or she is not surprised by things that come up at trial because he or she knows the good and the bad regarding each case.
We became lawyers because we wanted to help people. We can’t help people if we have so many clients that they are just “numbers” to us. We limit the number of injury and death cases that we take so that we can devote the amount of time necessary to help each client.
